Privacy Policy

Build Clan (“we”, “us”) is a community where people follow goal plans, share progress and support each other. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo from that account. We never receive your Google password.
• Profile: the username, display name, bio and photo you choose.
• Content you create: posts, comments, likes, follows, private messages, the goals you join, the steps you complete with your reflections, and photos you add.
• Basic technical data: information our hosting providers need to run the service securely, such as IP address and browser type.

How we use it

• To run your account and show your progress, points and notifications.
• To keep the community safe, including handling reports and removing harmful content.
• To improve the app. We do not sell your data and we do not show third-party ads.

Who can see what

• Your profile, public posts, goal progress, completed steps (with your reflections) and step photos are visible to other signed-in members.
• “Followers only” posts are visible to your followers.
• Private messages are visible only to you and the person you’re talking to. They are not shown to other members or to admins in the app.
• Our admins can see posts and photos in order to moderate them.

Please blur names, money amounts and other people’s faces in any photo you upload.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run Build Clan. They process data only on our behalf:

• Supabase for accounts, the database and file storage.
• Vercel for hosting the website.
• Google, only if you choose to sign in with it.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices and rights

• You can edit your profile and delete your posts and comments at any time.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete your account and all associated data, by emailing watermelon260260@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Retention and security

We keep your data while your account is active and delete it when you ask us to. Data is protected by access rules that let each person change only their own content, and photos are stored privately and shown only to signed-in members.

Children

Build Clan is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
